Research

The main thrust of my research is directed towards the study of phosphorylation, dephosphorylation, pyrophosphorylation and depyrophosphorylation reactions in model studies using metal ion amine and bipyridine complexes as enzymatic models. Aqueous/microemulsion (amphoterics, anionic and cationic) media under physiological conditions of temperature and pH are used in the investigations.

Spectroscopic methods (absorption and vibrational techniques) and quantum chemical calculations are also applied to structural problems involving novel compounds.
