College of Human Sciences NRF rated researchers

The College is proud of the number of its academics who are rated by the National Research Foundation (NRF). Prof AM Weinberg of the Department of English Studies is the first social scientist to receive an A-rating status from the NRF at the university since the merger. In addition, 3 more researchers in the college are B rated, and 26 are C rated. 

In the last year, the ranks of rated academics in the CHS have been joined by young and Black scholars.  The CHS is proud that Professors Jita (C3) and Mafela (C2) were rated to show that the College is now putting a lot of emphasis on encouraging Black academics to apply for rating
