The Department of Corporate Communication & Marketing (CC&M) strives to develop dynamic strategies that are suitable for internal and external communication. It attempts to stay abreast of the times in an attempt to modify, channel and encode intended messages to the relevant target audience in a manner that is decoded effectively and appropriately.
CC&M attempts to serve. It seeks to establish the Unisa brand and create a heightened awareness of the brand; position Unisa as an institution of first choice; as well as to manage and coordinate internal and external communication and marketing. It presses on to establish a common understanding of the nature and role of Unisa as a comprehensive open distance learning academic institution, which strives “towards the African university in the service of humanity”. This is accomplished through various schemes that incorporate assertive and targeted marketing, placing an emphasis on what it means to be a comprehensive university.
