Aim of the short course:
This course is to equip students with knowledge on how to deal with diversity and culture in multicultural schools.
Educators and school governors.
A senior certificate.

(All three modules must be completed in one year)

Full course fee:
R5 100-00 (an additional fee per module to be paid by students living outside the borders of South Africa)

Theory of multicultural education
Understanding diversity and culture
Applying different approaches to diversity
Teaching in a multicultural classroom (CTME02H):
Teaching in a linguistically diverse classroom
Teaching learners with diverse learning styles
Curriculum development for multicultural education
Critical issues in multicultural schools (CTME03J):
Discipline strategies in a multicultural schools
Parent involvement in multicultural schools
Nature of assessment/examinations:
Complete, submit and pass written assignments for each module
A two hour examination paper to be written in October/November.
An optional workshop presented in Pretoria
