The College of Science, Engineering and Technology is made up of the School of Science, the School of Engineering and the School of Computing.
Unisa has made science a priority and aims to grow research capacity and support research activities in the fields of science, engineering, technology, agriculture and environmental sciences through the Unisa Science Campus.
Through its research activities, Unisa contributes to the knowledge and information society and ensures sustainability. The College supports the research goals and strategies of Unisa by focusing on two of Unisa’s five research themes: Innovation and capacity building in science and technology and Open Distance Learning.
The College of Science, Engineering and Technology has well qualified, experienced and dedicated academics in a variety of disciplines. They continuously conduct ground breaking research and find new and effective ways of teaching and learning.
At Unisa, community engagement is actively promoted through our Community Engagement and Outreach Policy. The College of Science, Engineering and Technology has actively engaged with the community through three flagship projects: I-SET, GirlPower and MathsEdge.
