Excitement is running high in the College of Science, Engineering and Technology with the I-SET showcase happening on Friday 19 October. The I-SET teams are in full swing with their preparations for the day. The robots are behaving very well and the research on elderly people and their challenges are proving to be very interesting and demanding. This year’s robot challenge field are especially tricky with teams able to score more than 700 points by having their robots completing quilts, building gardens, switching of stoves, doing cardio exercises and a whole lot more. The key element to completing this challenge field will most definitely be strategy! On the research side no one realized that working with the elderly could be so much fun, seeing what challenges they face as they become older is an eye opener and finding solutions to these challenges a test to the teams innovative spirits.
Don’t miss out on the opportunity to experience the excitement of the robots taking on the challenges and the kids inspiring you with their innovative solutions to problems that you will be facing in the near or distant future. Join us at the I-SET showcase this Friday.
