The purpose of this day was to introduce all academic associates to members of the College of Law, and also to showcase the academic and research capacity of our associates. More specifically, this event aimed to draw the College of Law associates closer to the College in stimulating and strenghtening its strategic objectives, such as the College’s research flagships. The continued active and prolific research record of these associates were specifically noted.

A total of nine academic associates, ranging from emeritus professors, extraordinary professors, and research fellows, addressed members from the College on Law on their present research activities and projects.

Sir Winston Churchill once said,“If you have knowledge, let others light their candles with it”, this was the underlying message to all those who were present. In essence it alludes to the fact that Academic Associates should use their knowledgeto inspire and help the young and up coming academics to light their candles too, in order for the college to shine.
