From 25-27 January 2012 the College of Graduate Studies ran the Assessment and Feedback Module of the Research Proposal and Methodology Programme for the Ethiopian doctoral candidates who were not part of the Santrust Programme 2011. In total, 43 PhD candidates presented their research projects to a group of academics from UNISA and the University of Addis Ababa. The various UNISA colleges were represented by Prof Vusi Mncube (College of Education), Prof Tayo Awofolu (College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences), Dr Nisa Paleker (College of Human Sciences), Prof Hester Nienaber (College of Economic and Management Sciences), and Prof Kitty Dumont (College of Graduate Studies). The University of Addis Ababa was represented by Prof Aklilu Amsalu (Geography and Environmental Studies), Prof Teshome Nekatibeb (Education and International Relations), and Prof Workineh Negatu (Developmental Studies).
The PhD candidates who presented their research proposals received detailed feedback on their proposals and presentations from the academics involved. The quality of the presentations confirmed the success of the Research Proposal and Methodology Programme 2011 developed and offered by the College of Graduate Studies.
