CEMS recently started a series of interviews with academics, researchers and support staff on Unisa Radio to keep students and other interested parties informed about services and events in the college.

The internet-based radio station has already contributed a better understanding of the support offered to students and an increased interest in college events. Events include the annual External Auditing Students’ open day and the first Youth Research Conference.

For the staff who participated in the first interviews, it was a new, but interesting experience and they hope to use the radio more as an additional medium to reach students and other interested parties.

It is an excellent opportunity to let people know what we are busy with, said Ms Goodness Zulu, a research assistant at the Youth Research Unit who talked about the first Youth Research Conference by the unit.
