Unisa academics at the College of Education have reason to celebrate as they will now have more opportunity to have their articles published in African Educational Review (AER), an Education Journal published by the Taylor & Francis and Routledge Group from Abington, Oxon in the UK. The journal has been showing a steady growth. In 2010 it grew to three editions a year and for 2012 it is already fully subscribed. As a result of the increased “demand”, AER will become a quarterly publication as from 2013.
Moreover, Moeketsi Letseka who is the deputy editor of the journal, is happy to share there will also be two special issues, one in 2012 and the other in 2013. The College of Education, UNISA has been honoured to host the South Africa chapter of the Organization of Social Science Research in Eastern and Southern Africa (OSSREA). In turn OSSREA has issued a call for papers with a specific view to launching the South Africa chapter and has identified Africa Education Review as the journal to host manuscripts responding to the call for papers. Prof Kaino will serve as the guest editor for this edition. These special issues are intended to yield a huge number of research papers and to position AER as an education journal of choice for educators nationally, continentally and worldwide.
