media releases - Philanthropist Eric Molobi honoured at UNISA SBLThe Unisa Graduate School of Business Leadership (SBL) and its Alumni Association will be paying tribute to the outstanding achievements of the late Eric Molobi at a Gala dinner on Wednesday 29 November 2006. The Leadership in Practice (LIP) award is presented to individuals who have demonstrated outstanding leadership and visionary qualities in different spheres of society. As head of the Kagiso trust, the late Molobi played a pivotal role in forging a new path to promoting and supporting development, particularly among the youth. Through his steadfastness and exemplary leadership, Kagiso Trust became one of the leading agencies and has funded over 30 000 students to enter and complete their tertiary education. Molobi pioneered and made significant contributions to black economic empowerment and it is for these achievements that he will be honoured on Wednesday evening. The previous recipients of the LIP award include amongst others the newly appointed Chancellor of the University of Johannesburg, Mrs Wendy Luhabe, FirstRand CEO, Mr Sizwe Nxasana and Vodacom CEO Allan Knott Craig.Other media releases News | Latest | Archive |
