media releases - UNISA Graduation ceremony in Namibia10 May 2006 UNISA GRADUATION CEREMONY IN NAMIBIA The University of South Africa will be holding a graduation ceremony in Windhoek, Namibia on Saturday 13 May 2006. The ceremony will held at 10h00 at the Safari Hotel Conference Centre. During the ceremony a total number of 180 students will graduate and Ms Magdalena Gertruida Calitz will receive a Doctor of Diaconiology degree ( DDiac). The Senate medal ( for the best performance in the Postgraduate Bachelors degree) will be awarded to Irmela Marianne Buchholz who will receive an Honours Bachelor of Information Science and Magdalena Nashongo, who will receive a BTech in Public Management, will be awarded the Principal’s Bronze Medal which is awarded to the best student with an average mark of 65 percent in each subject. This year a total of 13 000 students will graduate during the University’s 51 graduation ceremonies that will be held in Pretoria, Bloemfontein, Bellville, Durban, East London, Nelspruit, Polokwane, Windhoek, Harare and Mauritius.
