media releases - GBFE students to receive their degrees on monday at unisa

Several students will be travelling from Germany and Canada, to receive their postgraduate degrees during Monday’s graduation ceremony at Unisa.

They are part of the  GBFE - Gesellschaft für Bildung und Forschung in Europa. It is an educational organization that provides tutor support and tuition to Unisa students in their area. 

GBFE has cooperated with Unisa since 1997 and has become a  College of Unisa. Currently there are about 70 students registered with Unisa. Thirty-five have received postgraduate qualifications to date.

Students who will be awarded degrees will be:


DTh (Missiology)
AE Schnepper (Germany)
H Afflerbach  (Germany)
RG Friesen  (Canada)
V Brecht   (Germany)
MTh (Missiology)  
PS Jost   (Germany)
R Schäfer   (Germany)
R Schowalter   (Germany)
J Kröker  (Germany)  
The promoter/supervisor of these students, Prof J Reimer, will be present at the graduation ceremony as will be the GBFE’s Dean of Studies, Dr Volker Kessler, their Academic Liaison Officer, Dr Christof Sauer as Mr Arthur Rempel, GBFE Administrator.

The ceremony begins at 18:00 and guests will be seated by 17:45.
