RE: Launch of the 4^th International Conference on Financial Services

Rene van Wyk, the Registrar of Banks will speak at the launch of the 4^th International Conference on Financial Services on Tuesday, 30 October 2012 at Kleinkaap, Centurion. His topic will be centred on our conference theme which is “Critical Transition in Financial Services”. 

The global financial crisis has fundamentally altered the landscape of banking, risk management and financial services. In its wake, financial institutions are increasingly scrutinised and under pressure to act in a more responsible and sustainable way. Consequently, caution has been exercised by a number of financial institutions where borrowings and financial policies are concerned, in order to avert the possibility of a similar global financial crisis taking place. The theme of the conference “Critical Transition in Financial Services” aims to interrogate the current financial practices.
