media releases - Unisa' BMR to conduct its 52nd Annual Research Review

Unisa’s Bureau of Market Research (BMR) will conduct its  52^nd Annual Research Review on Friday, 26 October 2012.

Renowned South African economist Mike Schűssler and director at Economists.co.za and Research Africa Information Network (RAIN) will speak on the topic ‘The South African economy and future prospects’.

Mr Patrick Kelly, Executive Manager: Price and Employment Equity at Statistics South Africa will speak on the topic “Calculating the South African Consumer Price Index: What is involved and what should users look out for?”

Ms Kefiloe Masiteng, Deputy Director-General: Population and Social Statistics at Statistics South Africa will speak on the topic “Patterns and trends with respect to the South African population and households as it appears on surveys conducted by Stats SA”.

Unisa’s Executive Research Director in the Bureau of Market Research, Professor Deon Tustin will also do a presentation of the BMR’s 2012 Research Review.
