media releases - Health Minister to speak at Unisa's School Health Conference

The Minister of Health, Dr Aaron Motsoaledi will deliver the keynote address on the second day (Friday, 27 July 2012) of Unisa’s School Health Conference to be held at Muckleneuk Campus, Pretoria, on 26-27 July 2012.

The conference will be held under the theme ‘School Health and Education: An Integrated Approach’ and will be attended by, amongst others; academics, parliamentarians and leading health practitioners.

Amongst the issues to be dealt with through the various presentations and commissions will be the following:

-       Ethics and School Health Amongst Marginalised Communities

-       School Health in the SADC Region

-       Sexually Transmitted Diseases Among Youth

-       Youth Health Programme of Study : The Higher Education Sector

-       The Role of School Governing Bodies in School Health

-       Collaboration, Mental Health and Substance Abuse

-       Reproductive Health and Cell phones in the School Environment

-       School Health and Sunday Schools : Community Engagement Project
