media releases - Unisa to hold inaugural Student Day in Daveyton (Ekurhuleni)
The University of South Africa (Unisa) will host the first of its planned Student Days in Daveyton (Ekurhuleni) on 6 and 7 July 2012.
The university has decided to introduce the initiative, which will also take place in other Unisa centres across the country, to enable students to interact with Unisa staff and get career and academic advice. The sessions are aimed at prospective students who have applied at Unisa and have got reference numbers; and registered students.
The objectives of the sessions are to provide opportunities for the Unisa regions to showcase learner support services, share the university enrolment plan with communities, current and prospective students; as well as to gauge the levels of students’ satisfaction with the services offered, and determine additional improvements that may be necessary, amongst others.
The media is invited to the Student Day sessions in Daveyton. The details are as follows:
