Unisa online - Unisa Radio roundtable
June marks an important period in our young democracy as we remember the immense contribution made by the country’s young people in the struggle for freedom, justice and equality. Images of 16 June 1976 are but a representation of what young people across South Africa were faced with at the time.
Almost 26 years later, the South African youth are still struggling for economic freedom; Unisa Radio will be hosting a roundtable asking whether the current economic climate in SA is conducive for young people to be innovative and successful entrepreneurs? on 15 June 2012 at the Dr Miriam Makeba Concert Hall at 10:00.
The roundtable will consist of Director of Radipolelo Business Consulting, Mr Roche Mamabolo; Public commentator on skills and education, Mr Alpheus Maphosa; Head of Communication: Y-AGE Programme, Mr Molefi Olifant; Strategic Director & Co-founder @ Avatar Digital Agency, Mr Veli Ngubane and, Unisa’s Deputy Registrar and Political Analyst, Prof Tinyiko Maluleke.
Students are invited to the Dr Miriam Makeba Hall to engage the guest speakers on the issue. The roundtable will be broadcast live on Unisa Radio via http://radio.unisa.ac.za from 10:00 until 13:00.
