media releases - Graduate School of Business Leadership graduation ceremony

On 20 May 188 students will graduate from Unisa’s Graduate School of Business Leadership. During this ceremony 4 doctorates, 22 Master of Business Administration and 162 Master of Business Leadership degrees will be awarded.

Avintha Moodaly will receive the degree MBL with distinction.

The following graduands will receive their doctor’s degrees:
Josef Jooste Coetzee, a senior lecturer at Unisa’s SBL, with his thesis entitled: A social contract with business as the basis for a postmodern MBA in a world order of inclusive globalization – a critical metasynthesis;

Jacobus Adriaan Naudé, a consultant, whose thesis is entitled: A framework for reporting sustainability performance to major stakeholder groups;

Geoffrey Sebuyira, divisional finance manager (East Africa) at Coca Cola Sabco, for his thesis entitled: The impact of culture on preferred leadership attributes: a Ugandan perspective;

and

Rica Cornelia Viljoen, managing director at Mandala Consulting Group, for her thesis Sustainable organizational transformation through inclusivity.

The ceremony will take place at 18:00 in the ZK Matthews Great Hall, 2nd level, Theo van Wijk Building, main campus, Preller Street, Muckleneuk, Pretoria.

This year 14 172 students will graduate at 39 ceremonies held from 20 April to 24 June. Graduations will take place in Pretoria, Polokwane, Nelspruit, Durban, East London and Cape Town.

Among the degrees conferred will be 40 doctorates, 395 master’s degrees, 2 494 honours, 2 370 four-year bachelor’s, and 2 286 three-year bachelor degrees. A further 947 postgraduate diplomas/certificates will be awarded, and 5 640 undergraduate diplomas/certificates
