The University of South Africa will receive a donation of 14 200 new books to the value of R5.3 million, from Van Schaik’s Bookstore, The donation is in celebration of International Literacy Day

The donation will be made on 8 September at 14:00 in the Van Schaik Room, Unisa Library, Samuel Pauw Building, Pretoria Main Campus, Preller Street, Muckleneuk.

The University of South Africa is one of eight tertiary institutions in South Africa and Namibia that will each benefit from these generous donations. Creating wealth through knowledge and education is one of the key objectives of this annual donation.

Unisa is the largest research library in South Africa and serves the needs of about quarter of a million students annually.
