The President

  • Is the chief executive officer of the SRC
  • Presides at all official gatherings of the SRC or delegates such duty to any member of the NEC
  • Together with the Secretary General or Treasurer General, acts as the signatory to transactions of the SRC in accordance with the SRC: Finance and Administration Policy
  • Together with the Secretary General and Media and Information Officer, acts as spokes- person, drafts and issues press statements on behalf of the SRC, and
  • Acts as convener of the NC, NSP, NEC and NWC
