Baccalaureus Technologiae: Engineering: Chemical (Environmental) BTECE National Diploma: Engineering (S4) in the relevant discipline OR National Higher Diploma in Chemical Engineering (T4), PLUS the following bridging subjects: Process Control III (PCT381H), which is the prerequisite for PCT401C; National Diploma: Chemical Engineering (T3 diploma: 3 semesters UoT training plus 3 semesters' in-service training) PLUS the following 4 bridging units: Process Control III (PCT381H); Chemical Engineering Technology III (Module B) (CEM321B and CEM3PRB); Thermodynamics: Chemical Engineering III (TDC341P); Chemical Process Design: Principles III (CPD371S); Foreign Chemical Engineering qualifications are considered but subject to SAQA evaluation and departmental approval. 120 7

Baccalaureus Technologiae: Engineering: Industrial BTENI National higher diploma: Industrial Engineering OR a national diploma: Engineering: Industrial OR a national diploma: Industrial Engineering (T3-diploma) as well as the following study units from the national diploma: Engineering: Industrial (S4): (i) Management Practice IV (MGP437U); (ii) Automation III (ATO331Q); (iii) Operational Research III (OPR371S); (iv) Financial Management (FMA401V); (v) Quality Assurance II (QAS221U). Students who hold any approved National Diploma in Engineering, other than the ND: Industrial Engineering who want to study BTech: Industrial Engineering, must first complete the Higher Certificate: Industrial Engineering successfully. Baccalaureus Technologiae: Engineering: Mechanical BTMEE National Diploma: Engineering: Mechanical (S4 diploma); or a National Higher Diploma: Mechanical Engineering (T4 diploma); or a National Diploma: Mechanical Engineering (T3 diploma) with at least 2 of the following S4 subjects: Theory of Machines III; Applied Strength of Materials III, Hydraulic Machines III, Steam Plant III. Foreign Mechanical Engineering Qualifications are considered but subject to SAQA evalutation and departmental approval. 120 7
