The programme is a wide selection of customized and relevant learning initiatives that seek to encourage and inspire informal learning. The Chance 2 Advance is for members of the public, grass root communities, businesses, corporates and educational institutions.

Chance 2 Advance initiatives

The Chance 2 Advance programme is a community outreach initiative hosted by the Office of the Pro-Vice-Chancellor. The project began in 2010 with a month-long community learning programme entitled The Better World Village.


C2A trains Gugulethu learning Ambassadors

C2A Gugulethu, Nyanga and Crossroads, August 2013

C2A has hosted its largest initiative in the communities of Gugulethu, Crossroads and Nyanga. The programme took place in Gugulethu from 19 - 31 August 2013. 68 workshops were offered to enthusiastic members of the community.

A special entrepreneurship programme for 40 participants selected by the Department of Social Development from Diepsloot and Ivory Park was conducted in Diepsloot, north of Johannesburg from 15 to 19 April 2013.
