Science Engineering and Technology Students Association

Welcome to SETSA

The Science, Engineering and Technology Students Association (SETSA) is a guild of students that represents all students registered in the College of Science, Engineering and Technology (CSET) at the University of South Africa (UNISA). The purpose of the student body is to address and serve the academic interests of fellow CSET students.

The First Annual General Meeting held on the 11th of May 2009, marked the formalisation of SETSA. The objective was to elect an interim executive for one term, in order to formulate the constitution of the association.

The Second Annual General Meeting was held at the Sunnyside Campus (UNISA) on the 17th of March 2010, during which, a SETSA Executive Committee was officially elected. SETSA is recognised by CSET and has executive members representing students across various college committees. SETSA acts as the collective voice of CSET students to promote communication between students and the college.

Our Vision:

To develop world-class graduates, to fuel the science, engineering and technology sector.

Our Mission:

To advocate on behalf of all CSET students and to promote creative initiatives related to the increased success of the student community.
