GirlPower Project

What is the GirlPower Project?

This project is to ensure that we as a College contribute to increasing the cohort of girls who are ready and prepared to undertake higher education studies in science, engineering and technology.

The purpose of GirlPower project is to:

  • To support girls to excel in math, science, and technology.
  • To develop a  pool of young researchers who have creative thinking and problem solving skills.
  • To entice learners into math, science, and technology.

What are we doing? 

  • Provide a flexible learning environment for secondary school female learners
  • Create a mentorship program between the learners, educators and CSET staff
  • Create a laboratory environment for the learners of SET through micro-kits.
  • Provide opportunities and support for learners to conduct small scale research.
  • Celebrates the success of women in Science  and showcases their contribution in SET
  • Develops resources inculcating a sense of fun in science activities, challenging topics, and real life application of science that will motivate, support and empower learners in SET.
