Master of arts in criminology
Description
This is a research degrees, meaning that students who are admitted must put together a research proposal, conduct research and then write a dissertation. This is the case with the MA in Criminology. Once Unisa accepts your research proposal, a supervisor is assigned to you. You will then work with this person to carry out your research and literature study, and prepare your dissertation for examination.
Duration
Students register for the first time from 1 July for the following academic year. Then, for the duration of their studies, students must re-register each year, giving a short summary of progress to date and study plans for the next year.
Admission Requirements
BA Honours degree in Criminology with an average of at least 60% in the final examination. Students need to have passed the degree less than six years ago.
