Staff in the Department of Jurisprudence

The Department of Jurisprudence teaches the foundational courses for the LLB. In addition to Introduction to Law, Legal history and Skills for Law Students, the Department also teaches Conflict of Laws, Comparative Law, Legal Philosophy and Professional Ethics for final year students. The Department also offers a service module on Social Welfare Law for social work students. In addition the Department has a strong research focus and the Gender and Law Research Group is based here. The Department is home to the Centre for Basic Legal Education which offers a short learning programme in Law.
