About usThe discipline has a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate courses focussing on preaching, worship, pastoral care and counselling, Christian leadership and church management, Christian education and ministry, church and society and practical theological research methodology. The discipline has a particularly strong postgraduate programme leading to structured master's degrees. There are a significant number of master's and doctoral students registered in the discipline. The discipline has a proven and productive track record concerning postgraduate studies. The discipline has also recently developed a structured Master's degree in Pastoral Therapy. The goal is to enable pastors and therapists to gain the necessary knowledge and experience to undertake pastoral therapy. The emphasis is on the pastoral therapy of individuals, marriage and family relations. This course is also available to persons without a theological degree through the means of an entrance examination. |
