Services

The following are underlying assumptions on which UNISA bases its services for students with disabilities:

  • That all students deserve nothing less than a quality education and training that would provide them with opportunities for lifelong learning, employment, and meaningful participation in society as productive citizens.
  • That the prerequisite for all learning and development should be the creation of an enabling environment in which everyone is valued, and which promotes student access and success.
  • That students should be provided with opportunities not only to enter higher education programmes, but also to succeed in them.
  • That a quality education and training for students with disabilities would contribute significantly to the broader agenda for social and economic development of our country.
