CSET supports the research goals and strategies of Unisa. It does this by focusing on two of UNISA’s five research themes:

Innovation and capacity building in science and technology
Open Distance Learning

While there are many research groups in CSET, to focus our research activities, we have identified six flagship research projects that capture the essence of the two research themes as well as UNISA’s goal of increasing research activity and outputs, developing research capacity and inculcating multidisciplinary research. Each of the flagship projects thus has research and development goals which are clearly stated in the research plans that follows.
