Instruments

The university acquised the best instruments of its kind in the world such as several Steinway Grand Piano from Hamburg, a Booth harpsichord from the UK, as well as the Riegen Concert Organ from Austria. Although these instruments are tuned by local technicians, the university provide funds for technicians assigned by the manufacturers to service and regulate the instruments on a regular basis. The instruments are used for the music examinations conducted by the Department of music as well as the concerts, competitions and other events presented by the Unisa Music Foundation.
